Ms. Preetha VK is a teaching professional with over 10 years’ experience in both industry and academia. She is currently working in the capacity of an Assistance Professor for the Faculty of Natural Science, University of Stirling, RAK Campus as well as SQA, RAK Campus. In addition to her teaching role, she is also an Internal Verifier for SQA Computing Software Development Programs. She holds a Master’s Degree (M.Tech) specializing in Computer and Information Science and an MBA in Finance. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. from a reputed university in India. Additionally, she mentors final-year students for their academic dissertations.
Ms. Preetha is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA, UK). In addition to her teaching roles, she also is a member of the Quality Assurance and Examination Cell which is an integral part of Internal Quality Assurance Department (IQAD) as well as heads the Staff Welfare Committee.
Her research interests include AI, data science, particularly in predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and IoT applications in smart technologies. She received a Certificate of Recognition from the Ministry of Education, UAE, IT Department, for her outstanding contribution to MOE IT support. She has also completed a certification on institutional curricula at the postgraduate level in machine learning from the University of Stirling, UK, and holds an IBM certification in Python for data science.
