Mr. C.T. Sunil Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Finance and Accounts. He holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance from Mangalore University, an MS in Consultancy Management from BITS Pilani, an MPhil in Management from Madurai Kamaraj University, and a CMA from IMA-US. He is currently pursuing PhD with Bharathidasan University, Trichy, India, in International Finance. He has more than twenty-four years of handful experience in the industry and higher education field both at the national and international levels. Mr. C.T. Sunil Kumar’s area of research interest is, ‘exchange rate mechanism and economic development, oil price variations and its economic impact on GCC’, the role of current account deficit in currency value determination etc. The main course delivery is in the area of, Accounting and Finance for Managers, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, International Finance, Management of Forex Transactions, Financial Derivatives and Markets etc. He has published case study with leading case publishing houses such as The Case Centre, UK. He has also published his research work in reputed and indexed journals and presented research papers at international conferences.
C.T. Sunil Kumar is currently associated with the University of Stirling-UAE Campus as the Academic Director. Before joining back at the faculty at the University of Stirling UAE Campus, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Program Leader for Undergraduate Programs in Management at Amity University Dubai (2011 – 2017), and as a senior lecturer at Birla Institute of Technology, UAE campus at RAK (2007 -2011), and as faculty member in reputed management institutes in India (2003 -2007). He was also associated with the leading foreign university in UAE as a visiting faculty member to deliver courses in the specialized areas of Accounting & Finance, Banking & Insurance, Risk Management and Derivatives, Investment and Portfolio Management etc. during these years.
